We believe for someone to thrive and live an enriched life we have to support, encourage and enable all factors that contribute to their overall wellbeing. We therefore focus on their psychological and physical needs. We encourage socialising, healthy food and nutrition and wherever possible, getting out in the community.

Every aspect of a person’s care is unique and tailored to their individual needs, forming part of their personal care plan with a focus on achieving their intended outcomes.

A calendar of activity

Our activities programme has been created to ensure our residents can take part in daily group or one to one activities. The activity programme is tailored around individual’s interests and passions whilst encouraging our residents to consider and turn their hand to new interests. These may range from karaoke to crafts, bingo to boardgames and reminiscence therapy, where we encourage residents to share their life stories with us.

Keeping Active

Staying active is a crucial part of everyone’s wellbeing, where possible we encourage additional mobility through yoga and chair yoga and movement sessions like dancing. For those with limited mobility due to their health, we offer supported movement from bed or wheelchair to stimulate circulation.

As part of each unique care plan, we’ll assess which activities residents can and should take part in. We also ensure no one is ever left out – if for some reason a resident cannot take part in a group activity, we’ll take the activity to them and complete it on a one-to-one basis.
